Becoming the Best You – Get Healthy in 2017

Welcoming the Light
Light is energy and information. When we shed light on something we can see it clearly. When something comes to light, we understand. It is easy as a human to get into a comfortable pattern of complacency in the dark. We’d rather not know. We’d rather not be challenged. We fear change. We want things to stay as they are. But change is the only constant and resistance to change will only build a pressure that will eventually bust.
Instead in 2017 I choose to welcome the light. I give thanks for the illumination of the bad habits, falsehoods, and limitations that held me back. I accept sight. I welcome truth.
Becoming the Best Me
As human beings none of us are perfect. But do we remain forever in the same pattern that makes us unhappy, or do we open to new information and new ways of being?  Will we have the courage to kill the old destructive ways that have limited our thrivation?
Shedding Light on the Great Deception
We are all aware that our world is sick. While the media bombards us with stories of hate, racism, and violence, the actual threat to your health is most likely at the dinner table. Nearly two thirds of adults in America are overweight and nearly 20% of children are obese. Diseases related to overweight and obesity including heart disease and diabetes claim more lives than anything else on the planet. Disease is a big industry and many people have worked to keep the simple cure under wraps for the sake of their personal financial interest.
Healing is Happening
For 20 years I have researched the intersection between food and health and been frustrated with both the corruption and deception existing at every level of nutrition education, medicine, and food policy and with how to share the research properly. My life circumstances have seemed to hold me back, yet I have grown tremendously along the way and deepened in my personal practice of holistic health care, healing, an all plant diet, and working with the plant kingdom.
The Future is All-Plants
I have also witnessed the most amazing movement blossom for an All-Plant Vegan Future. When I became vegetarian at age 14 just 1% of Americans were vegetarian. Now in 15% of the younger generation does not eat meat. It used to be difficult to find milk alternatives and vegan options but now every corner store and coffee shop carries almond milk. Now the milk industry is complaining of declining sales, fast food companies like Taco Bell are promoting a vegan menu, and the worlds biggest celebrities including Oprah, Ellen, Dr. Oz, Wendy Williams, and Beyonce have promoted the diet. These are encouraging signs but still many people are suffering with totally unnecessary disease caused by a diet of animal products.
The research has mounted and the evidence is undeniable that an All-Plant Diet is healing, promotes weight loss and maximum energy, promotes creativity, reduces aggression, and has myriad benefits for our air, animals, and the planet. In 2017 I am launching my new healing stories venture at Healing With Plants where I will be your guide to healing through an All-Plant diet. Through online videos and articles I will share both my personal stories of holistic healing, testimonials of people cured by an all-plant diet, and research to support your healing and optimal health.
